Thank you for visiting my BC Race to Educate fundraising page!
On April 30, Alex, Declan and I will be lacing up our super fast sneakers to run the campus of Boston College as part of the 12th Annual BC Race to Educate. This event is not just about seeing who the fastest is (we all know it is Alex and Declan!)...but it is about raising $ for an excellent cause. All of the proceeds and donations associated with this fun event will be going to the Twin's school - St. Columbkille's (aka St. Col's) in Allston.
It is crazy to think that this is the Twin's 5th year at St. Cols. They have truly enjoyed their time there, complete with community, friendship and a joy for learning....and this year is no exception! That said, we want to give back and make sure that good schools such as St. Col's remain strong and are able to support our kids. So please either join us (either join our Running Team on April 30th....select Team Smith-Goughs) or simply donate what you can....it is for a great cause.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Sincerely,
Alex, Declan & Leanne
BC Race To Educate
The BC Race to Educate is a Boston College-sponsored 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run to benefit Saint Columbkille Partnership School. The race is held on campus at Boston College, beginning and ending in Alumni Stadium, and features entertainment, food and prizes in all age categories. Join the BC athletes, BC Pep Band and Baldwin the Eagle as we lace up our sneakers to celebrate Saint Cols!
Saint Columbkille Partnership School is a pre-K through Grade 8 Catholic school located in Brighton, MA. Since 1901, Saint Columbkille has been a mainstay within its surrounding community, and has educated children for many generations. In 2018, Saint Columbkille Partnership School was designated as a laboratory school of Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development.
Saint Cols now serves more than 400 students with more than 42 percent receiving financial aid. The BC Race to Educate is our annual fundraiser to support Saint Columbkille Partnership School to give all students access to a high-quality Catholic education.
