Welcome!!!
Many of you may know me but a few might not, so let me introduce myself. My name is Joe Brown and I have been mountain biking for 20 something years. I was introduced to the Flagstaff to Grand Canyon ride when my daughter was just a wee one, needless to say she isn’t so wee and little anymore, and have enjoyed participating in it almost yearly. As you can see from the quilt my daughter made me in my profile picture, I have at least 19 years under my belt. In between the annual fundraising ride, I have enjoyed adventures around Arizona and a few outside the state using my own man power and two wheels of my bike. There has been bumps and bruises along the way; even a trip to trauma bay once but I digress. Back to talking about the ride and what our fundraising helps. I have had some memorable rides including the one year with so much rain it was like going kayaking through the mountains and valleys. For me this has become a family adventure because my wife and daughter volunteer annual which makes it 100 times more worth riding those 65 butt kicking miles to help raise funds. Each year I have participated in the Flag to Grand Canyon ride, I personally and we, as a whole event, have raised more funds each ride allowing for us to assist more and more charities. This is year 25 of the ride and has made the world of difference to those who are less fortunate or just need that extra help. The Flagstaff to Grand Canyon has become near and dear to my heart as I have seen the funds raised be used to help so many different charities including but not limited to NICA, Marine League Charities, and scholarship funds.
I know now a days things might be a little tighter for people but even a couple of bucks here and there can help me to reach my fundraising goal. Let’s make this the best year yet and see how many more we can be able to help out during these rocky times (get it rocky times like the mountains). I'm hoping to raise at least $1000 for the Marine League Charities. No amount is too small: every $20 allows Toys for Tots to provide for one additional child. You can give with any major credit card and it only takes 30 seconds. Thank you for taking a peek at my page and taking time to consider donating!!
Just a little quote:
“If happiness is the goal - and it should be, then adventures should be a priority. Adventure Awaits!”
Thank you for supporting me!

2022 Flagstaff to Grand Canyon Charity Ride
On Saturday, August 6th, 200+ brave souls will ride their mountain bikes 65 miles along the Moqui Stagecoach trail that used to connect Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. Why? Well, the Flag2GC charity ride has been raising money for the Marine League Charities (MLC) since 1998. Since then, we've raised almost $1 million - enabling Toys for Tots (T4T) to provide toys, books, and stocking stuffers to more than 10,000 children in Northern Arizona each year. In addition to Toys for Tots, proceeds from this event allows MLC to fund the Flagstaff Youth Program, Wounded Marine Program, as well as a Scholarship Fund for Coconino Community College.
The Marine League Charities is an Arizona not-for-profit charitable corporation organized for the purpose of supporting charities including those organized to assist children of Northern Arizona and those charities benefiting members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
In accordance with our mission statement, Marine League Charities (MLC) supports and funds the following local charities:
· Flagstaff Community Toys for Tots
· Flagstaff Youth Program
· Wounded Marine Program
· Marine Relief
· Coconino Community College Scholarship Fund
