Little Mermaids
Team Little Mermaids is paired with the Warrior Health Foundation. The mission of Warrior Health Foundation (WHF) is to improve the quality of life for Special Operations veterans of the Global War on Terrorism through the provision of high-quality free or low-cost proactive and preventative healthcare services. WHF delivers integrative, holistic and evidence-based care to its patients to improve the physical and cognitive function of Special Operations Forces (SOF) veterans. The main goal at WHF is to achieve “Peak Wellness” for all participants through physician-monitored Vitamin, Peptide and Hormone Therapy programs.
In 2016, a government research laboratory study was conducted to determine the effects of Special Operations Training and Sustained Combat Operations on male vitamin and hormone levels, lean body mass and strength. The study concluded that the high physical demand, negative energy balance, and sleep deprivation of combat readiness all appear to adversely affect vitamin and testosterone levels in males. Objective medical studies have shown that military members that specifically complete selection courses for Special Operations units and continue to conduct Sustained Combat Operations experience a severe vitamin and hormonal imbalance.
Warrior Health Foundation aims to promote the overall wellness and health of Special Operations Forces veterans that have made multiple combat deployments overseas and is experiencing some form of hormonal and vitamin imbalance that causes a wide range of issues. WHF is committed to helping our military SOF veterans through proactive and preventative healthcare services at 100% zero cost to the participant. Many times, due to the high volume of SOF veterans returning and tasking the VA Healthcare System with treating and finding solutions, many are simply placed on opiod based prescriptions. Warrior Health Foundation offers an alternative protocol to this by analyzing the SOF veteran’s vitamin and hormone levels, and forging a clear path to get “WELLNESS” back into sync.
All money raised by this team will go to the Warrior Health Foundation.
Swim With A Mission
The 4th Annual Swim With A Mission, an Open Water Swim Race and Festival was scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at Wellington State Park in Bristol NH. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have shifted our event to a Virtual Event. We would much rather have our live event and are disappointed about the change but we know that it is necessary at this point. Even in these tough times, we hope you will help us stay true to our mission to raise money to help Veterans and inspire others to help.
Virtual Events are open to everyone and will take place from July 1-31. Participants can choose to swim (1K, 5K or 10K), paddle (1K, 5K or 10K) or take on the SEAL Team NH Challenge. All participants are encouraged to raise funds that will go to our Veterans who need our help more than ever. Swimmers can also choose to swim more than once during the month of July and they will be able to record distances and times. Go to www.swimwithamission.org for more details.
