Team Luna is paired with Camp Resilience. Patriot Resilient Leader Institute (PRLI), a 501 (c)(3) organization, recognizes that those who have served their country and communities often need a helping hand in order to recover and maintain their mental and physical health. By running Camp Resilience retreats for service members, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones, PRLI does its part to help those who have served bounce back in mind, body, and spirit.
Located in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire, Camp Resilience retreats combine outdoor experiential learning activities, facilitated peer-to-peer counseling, and life skills workshops and are often facilitated by active/retired VA clinicians. PRLI is devoted to tackling an array of issues affecting veterans and first responders—they offer a wide variety of tailored retreats that take the healing process out of the clinic and stress the importance of camaraderie and wellness in fostering resilience and recovery. They have found great success in running retreats for families, couples, and veterans coping with military sexual trauma, post traumatic stress, or moral injury.
Founded in 2014 by a small group of veterans and local citizens, PRLI has welcomed over 570 participants to 59 Camp Resilience retreats. The grass roots nature of the program sends an important message to attendees—that their service is appreciated by their fellow citizens. PRLI is a primarily volunteer organization with one full time staff member and a small but dedicated Board of Directors made up of a combination of veterans and mental health professionals.
The goal of Camp Resilience is to help participants develop a strong sense of resiliency, self-improvement, camaraderie and community. Throughout the retreat, participants strengthen their abilities to bounce back from adversity in mind, body, and spirit, develop goals based on their new experiences and implement at least one into their daily lives, realize they are not alone in their struggles, build lasting friendships with their fellow attendees, and leave with a renewed sense of connection to their peers. Participants often return home and give back to their community and peers in several very impactful ways.
The New Hampshire Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA-NH) awarded Camp Resilience the 2017 Granite State Warriors Award for improving the quality of life of our military forces and their families.
All money raised by Team Luna will go to Camp Resilience.
Swim With A Mission
The 4th Annual Swim With A Mission, an Open Water Swim Race and Festival was scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at Wellington State Park in Bristol NH. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have shifted our event to a Virtual Event. We would much rather have our live event and are disappointed about the change but we know that it is necessary at this point. Even in these tough times, we hope you will help us stay true to our mission to raise money to help Veterans and inspire others to help.
Virtual Events are open to everyone and will take place from July 1-31. Participants can choose to swim (1K, 5K or 10K), paddle (1K, 5K or 10K) or take on the SEAL Team NH Challenge. All participants are encouraged to raise funds that will go to our Veterans who need our help more than ever. Swimmers can also choose to swim more than once during the month of July and they will be able to record distances and times. Go to www.swimwithamission.org for more details.

These include supporting Veteran organizations that provide housing, take care of our homeless, support day to day services, provide service and support K-9’s, scholarships, jobs, create equine immersion programs and support art programs. Please explore www.swam.org to get more details about how you can get involved with us and our mission.
