I'm excited to tell you that I have signed up to ride in El Tour de Tucson. As you might remember I rode in El Tour last year, thanks to your donations to Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports (SAAS) to cover my registration fees and to help SAAS continue their work in the field of adaptive sports.
SAAS introduced me to adaptive sports by loaning me a handcycle to ride. Thanks to SAAS my interest in adaptive sports has grown. When I signed up for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games they were able to loan me a sports wheelchair. They were also able to offer me training to help me get ready for the games.
SAAS is able to offer equipment for adaptive sports to wheelchair users, as well as classes & training in adaptive sports thanks to generous monetary donations and donations of equipment.
I'm asking you to please make a donation (no donation is too small) to this great organization that helps wheelchair users get out of the house and get active. Through SAAS, wheelchair users can expand their worlds, enjoy the comradery of team sports, get fit & stay fit, grow confidence and make new friends. Their service is important to growing & maintaining a healthy community of inclusion.
