Thanks for taking the time to read this email. I'll try to be brief.
On September 24, 2022, I'll be undertaking a 75-mile ride in Vermont and Massachusetts as a participant in the Hungry Lion Bike Tour. Many of you know how much I enjoy cycling but there's another, more important purpose to the day's activity.
The ride has been organized to fight hunger in southern Vermont. Every December the Lions Club teams up with our local Rotary to offer assistance to residents who are victims of food insecurity. Proceeds from the Hungry Lion tour afford these clubs the capacity to contribute badly needed, nutritious food staples to individuals and families at risk. In recent years the Hungry Lion Bike Tour has also generated sufficient funding to support generous financial donations to our local food bank.
Your contribution will undoubtedly make a difference. Please support these efforts in whatever way is most suitable for your circumstances by clicking this link.
Thanks so much for your support. I certainly appreciate it and so do a large number of folks in Vermont.
More about this program can be found at HungryLionBikeTour.com and for you social media types, please "Like" our Facebook page, too.
Thanks again.

Each year, our local LIONS CLUB works hard to raise funds for our neighbors in need by sponsoring The Hungry Lion Bike Tour , one of Southern Vermont’s premier cycling events, typically attracting hundreds of riders, friends and family members to our region. We are able to run this professional-caliber event thanks to dedicated volunteers AND the enthusiastic contributions from participants and their sponsors! Our 2022 Event will be held in person with a Virtual Option for those not able to attend in person. We've also added an option for folks who would like to walk/hike!
