My very dear friend, Sherry Schuen was diagnosed with ALS in September 2017 after experiencing some weakness in her dominant hand. Today, she uses eye gazing technology to communicate and a head control device to operate her electric chair. Most ALS diagnosis life expectancy is 1-5 years. There is no cure. There is no treatment.
Every year I join Sherry and the rest or our Squad as we show our support by raising funds and walking in The Susan Mast ALS Foundation PEDALS fundraising event. This foundation exists to help families living with ALS today, because every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone dies from ALS.
