Hi,

I'm riding in the Tour de Tucson on November 19.  In addition to joining several thousand other cyclists, I am riding for KXCI which raises funds for KXCI radio.  KXCI is a local non-profit radio station without preset playlists.  They have played Lara's music over the years, including having her as a guest on the Locals Only show, and selecting her most recent release as the local pick of the week (and playing a selection from her record each day of the week).  Brenna took a youth DJ class there a few years ago (when she was a youth) and she hosted 1/2 hour of music when it was done (including a song Lara recorded in our living room that weekend)..

Fun fact:  KXCI and El Tour de Tucson both started in 1983. 

El Tour de Tucson is a 501(c)3 non-profit that rides to support charities, community, health, and wellness.

Tucson has an incredible bicycle culture and KXCI is proud to be part of it. You may have heard Pedaling the Pueblo in between music programs, which we’ve been broadcasting for years in conjunction with Living Streets Alliance. There’s always at least a bike or two on our front porch because some of our employees ride their bikes to work daily.

And now, KXCI is upping our game by putting together a team of people to Ride with KXCI in the 39th Annual El Tour de Tucson.
