I'll forever remember Spring 2022 as my season of the gut punch. Two avid cyclists, two learned gentlemen, bards, poets, with talents abound, wit-a-plenty, a real lust for life. Both were taken by cancer within three weeks of each other. No day goes by without them forever wandering through my thoughts. I especially miss the elaborate, sometimes tall tales, ones that often ended with my sides splitting. True mentors and friends, generally the best guys on or off two wheels you'd ever want to meet.
Having just passed the twelve month mark, I feel the need for a challenge, you know, to finally take it up a notch. Why not also raise funds to help put the BRAKES on cancer! I affectionately call this one my 25 - 4 - 2 - GUYS ride!
My ride is to honor Michael Feeley and Albert Kaifer. I pledge to pedal the whole “50 mile route with some dirt roads."
Surely, they’d be cheering for me, all while laying odds on the amount of grime my bike and I collect on the day
This year, 100% of rider donations benefit the Cancer Care Patient fund at the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, the Cancer House of Hope and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Let's do this!
