The Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hill Climb is a cycling event to overcome the eponymous 6,000ft+ monster mountain in New Hampshire. It supports the Tin Mountain Conservation Center–a non-profit providing educational hands-on programs for school children, adults, and families teaching them to be responsible stewards of natural resources through land protection, research, and sustainable forestry. This mission lies close to my heart as my childhood exploration of the streams, ponds, and forests of Northern California were fundamental to my development of who I am today. Those connections with nature I made twenty years ago will stay with me forever, and I want to help preserve natural environments so that all here today, and those yet to come, may have access to those same profound experiences.
