I'm asking for your prayers and help once more to provide financial assistance to families dealing with childhood cancer in their families.
I've decided to ride (my bicycle) in the Tour Da Yoop, Eh, 1200 miles in 10 days (28 July – 6 Aug) again this year. You might be wondering why, and the answer is that there is a REAL need to provide financial assistance for families struggling with childhood cancer. I must admit that I had not expected to take part, but my wife Connie convinced me that while I had planned to ride in the Northeast, the Tour Da Yoop, Eh was where my heart truly was. She was correct. I am truly motivated to do more for cancer families and children. I sincerely hope and pray that you will once again assist these families alongside me.
The Lions Club Kids with Cancer Program is a fantastic and distinctive cause that "directly aids" families with the out-of-pocket costs related to cancer treatment. Thanks to the 2022 Tour Da Yoop, EH, Connie and I were so grateful and fortunate to have the chance to directly help families dealing with children illness. We had the opportunity to speak with three families who had been affected by children cancer, and I must say that these experiences were quite emotional and heartfelt. We reflect on these encounters often. We were astonished by the fortitude of these families as they strive to preserve some sense of normalcy for the cancer-stricken children, their siblings, and the parents while searching for treatments and, eventually, a cure for their children. Simply said, we are in awe of their tenacity and perseverance!
The Lions Childhood Cancer Program provides financial assistance to families for medical and household needs, as well as transportation to medical appointments. These families are dealing with a sick child as well as a variety of financial problems, some of which are severe. Many parents are forced to take a long leave of absence or leave their jobs in order to be with their child. Medical treatment can be lengthy, leaving children with physical, emotional, and sensory issues. Your contributions will help the Lions Childhood Cancer Program continue their important work.
Please consider making a TAX-FREE donation to the Lions Childhood Cancer Program. Please visit my rider page to make a donation to help cover the costs associated with the care and support of children with cancer. Your contribution will help these families as well as the Lions Childhood Cancer Program's goal of saving lives by giving them hope and purpose.
