On September 17 I will be participating in the inaugural Second Summer Cycle event hosted by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. I am riding in support of Cotuit Center for the Arts and today I am asking for your support by donating in any amount meaningful to you.
I support the Center because the arts are essential. This is the premise upon which Cotuit Center for the Arts exists. Research bears out the undeniably powerful effect of color and sound, stories and learning, on the human brain and heart. The Center offers the highest quality of these in their award-winning gallery and eclectic concerts, sold-out dramatic and musical theater productions and robust classes. Please help me sustain CCftA now. And for days and years to come.
Our 25-person team has an incredible opportunity as one of the Center’s donors has challenged them with a $25,000 matching grant. We are raising money as a team, and that means for every dollar we raise, that contribution is automatically doubled. So if you give me $100 in support of the ride the Center will get $200.
Also, please note that every dollar you contribute goes directly to Cotuit Center for the Arts.

A Charity Ride across Cape Cod
What:
Be part of the inaugural Second Summer Cycle! This is an exciting new event led
by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce-- a fully supported, cape wide, charity
ride benefiting 19 nonprofit organizations on Cape Cod. Ride a route of your
choosing: 30, 60+ or 100 miles on beautiful back roads (and the rail trail if you
choose).
100% of the funds raised by riders go directly to the beneficiary of their
choice.
Participate in a celebration at the end of the ride with food, music and
Barnstable Brewing beverages Second Summer Cycle Cans as memorabilia. Enjoy
a special day of riding the Cape landscape while also benefiting tens of thousands
of Cape Codders.

Where:
The Century starts in Mashpee, The Metric Century (60+) in Sandwich and the 30
Mile Plus in Orleans. Safety is a top priority, expect support vehicles and police
presence, along with signage and volunteers along the route. All of the rides end
on the Outer Cape with a celebratory event for riders and volunteers.
The routes are not finalized yet. The permitting process is on going but we are very close.

Incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 1995, Cotuit Center for the Arts is an established, award-winning, dynamic arts and cultural hub serving Cape Cod, Southeastern Massachusetts, and beyond, hosting more than 40,000 visitors yearly for free and paid programming in our gallery, main theater, black box theater, and classrooms, and serving disabled teens and adults and incarcerated youth through our outreach programs.
Our offerings include art exhibits, live theater, concerts, classes and workshops, film screenings, and special events. We collaborate with local artists, musicians, actors, performers, teachers, volunteers, and the occasional celebrity to provide a rich experience to our audiences and attendees all year long.
Our goals at the Center are to educate, entertain, illuminate, inspire and include - five concepts that serve as the pillars of our philosophy. We strive to connect people of all ages and demographics to interesting and meaningful classes and workshops, to powerful and thoughtful live theater and music, to innovative and thought-provoking art exhibitions, and to an overall creative experience that enriches and transforms their lives.
Our calendar is jam-packed - an average week at the Center juggles approximately 130 hours of programming across ten schedulable locations on campus. Our ticket sales cover only half of our financial needs - we are supported by the contributions of our generous donors, sustained by a dedicated force of 600 active volunteers, grounded by the vision of a 16-member Board of Directors, and driven by the dedication and passion of 10 full-time and 6 part-time employees. We strive to be a welcoming hub at every level.
