Heatlhcare in America is expensive. Really expensive. That's why the role of Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) is critical to our local community. Running 13 miles is a difficult task, but doing it while being uninsured makes it impossible to do safely. I rest easy knowing that if I were to have a medical emergency, with my insurance I can afford it; others aren't so lucky. Little by little if we all take these opportunities to make the world around us better for others perhaps that'll come back around and in turn make it a more hospitable place for us. Take this opportunity to help those less fortunate - by making a donation on my page to help me reach my goal, YOU will also be helping to contribute to the overall goal of raising $40,000 for CVIM.
