Love- for the kids!
I hope you will donate to this beautiful cause! Maybe you will join us? Either way we will be there to support the children left behind; by the first responders who have served you without fear!
Kids Brotherhood Ride to benefit the Southern New England Brotherhood Ride
Come join us for a fun day of bicycle riding and more to help honor Southern New Englands fallen heroes. There will be music, bouncy house, activities, hot dogs, ice cream and raffles.
Right after the Southern New England Brotherhood Ride ws established my nephew, Braydon Dion, woke up one morning and without anyone putting the idea in his head he came up with this all on his own.
“Mom I want to do a Kids Brotherhood Ride. I want to raise money and give it to the kids whose parents have died.”
So for Braydon we will be having a “Kids Brotherhood Ride” fundraiser on June 21, 2021 from 10 AM - 2 PM at Old Colony RVTHS in Rochester, MA. We ask that every kid who wants to participate to raise at least $25 and if they are pre registered they will get a kids Brotherhood Ride T-shirt. There will be an ice cream truck, face painting, a fire truck to check out, a DJ playing music and more. The ride route will just be a lap around the school, where there is no traffic, and they can ride as many laps as they want.
Braydon has a huge heart and is always putting others first. Might I add he was 6 years old at this time, he is now 7. I hope to see a bunch of kids having a blast with him at this event for a great cause !! Please help spread the word and have your kids tell all their friends that they don’t want to miss out on a good time !
Southern New England Brotherhood Ride
The Southern New England Brotherhood Ride is a bicycle club made up of firefighters, law enforcement officers, and emergency medical personnel, both active and retired. Our mission is to honor first responders who have died in the line of duty in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. As we travel through each affected community we will provide their families with emotional and financial support. We will also raise awareness of the the sacrifices made by the first responders while serving and protecting their communities throughout Southern New England.
Our team is made up of two groups, the riders and the support crew. The riders need to have a road bike or a tri bike and will pedal anywhere between 50-100 miles a day. The riders will ride through any type of weather to complete our mission of honoring our fallen brothers and sisters. The support crew may not be riding but they are what keeps the wheels rolling, without them the riders would not be able to endure the long days. The support crew keeps the riders safe and well nourished. The support crew works hard behind the scenes and are the backbone of our organization.
The Southern New England Brotherhood Ride is a non profit organization. Other than the cost of conducting the ride, all proceeds will go directly to the designated beneficiaries. No member of our organization collects a pay check or is reimbursed for their time. Everyone involved donates their personal and/or vacation time and time away from their families in order to complete our mission set forth to HONOR our fallen with DEDICATION and PRIDE to assure that we will NEVER FORGET their sacrifice.
