Dear Family and Friends,

I am excited to announce that I have officially “hit the lottery” (or maybe lost the lottery to some) and gained an entrance ticket to the Vermont 100 Endurance Race. The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the oldest 100 mile races in America.  My deep love and passion for running has inspired me to join the Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sport team, Run 2 Empower.  This organization grants people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to recreate outdoors. Their year-round programming, carried out mostly by volunteers, includes opportunities to ski, snowboard, horseback ride, rock climb, cycle, sail, and so much more.  The VT100 race is Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports’ biggest fundraising event of the year.  The physical and mental health benefits I feel on a day to day basis from exercising in the outdoors is something that I’m very thankful to experience.  I believe everyone should have the chance to experience the joy, creativity, problem solving opportunities, friendships, and empowerment that spending time outdoors can facilitate.  Training for this event brings with it a huge amount of purpose.  The opportunity to support such an amazing organization is the reason I chose to accomplish this goal.  Thank you for your contribution towards this important organization. Please feel free to spread the word to anyone you know that may be passionate about this cause.
