I am supporting The Brick House Community Resource Center in Turners Falls, MA by participating in their super fun annual 5krace/ 1 mile fun ride/roll/walk/run.
I am seeking sponsorship in order increase the support I can give.
The Brick House is a non-profit community resource center, which offers a drop-in center/safe space for local adolescents. Our organization fills a much-needed role in our community, which has seen high family and child poverty rates in recent years. The Brick House provides advocacy, education, and connection with other local resources. It is a place where residents get together to help and support each other, hold fun events, and participate in programs such as peer mental health support, community shiatsu, and family-centered singing and dancing. In short, the Brick House seeks to provide a positive environment where essential needs are met in our underserved downtown community.
The Brick House relies on the support of the greater community to do all this. The 5K race has proven to be a fun day for people of all ages and brings together people from within town, as well as people who travel from other parts of Franklin and Hampshire Counties, whic is why I participate. It is important both as a fundraiser, an awareness-building event, and an opportunity for volunteer recruitment.
Please join me in supporting this organization in all of the work that they do.

The Brick House Community Resource Center is located in Turners Falls, Ma and serves the five villages of Montague – Lake Pleasant, Millers Falls, Montague Center, Montague City and Turners Falls – and the Town of Gill.
Our Mission
To support individual, family and community well being through collaboration on economic development, youth development, leadership development and education.
Our History
In 1989, in response to the deaths of four women at the hands of their domestic partners, a group of concerned residents, service providers and town officials formed a coalition that sought to create a Montague based organization that would serve the needs identified by residents. This organization, the Brick House Community Resource Center, opened its doors in 1990 to provide accessible services, respond to immediate needs and foster community organizing efforts to address longer-term solutions for change and community development.
Since its founding, the Brick House has served over 2500 residents with counseling programs, education, job training, employment resources and opportunities for building community. After a decade of providing a range of services to Montague residents, the Brick House has concentrated its focus to address the underpinnings of social inequity by supporting individual and community well being through economic development, youth development, education and advocacy
