A Charity Ride Benefitting 19 Cape Cod Non-Profit Organizations
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 11 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong commitment to rider safety. Three distances are being offered, 33, 69, and 100 miles with the final stop being a celebration at Motta Field in beautiful Provincetown. Dance to the music of Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys, use your $30 worth of vouchers provided as part of your registration to purchase food from 4 different food trucks, to include cold beverages provided by Barnstable Brewing Company, with Second Summer Cycle cans as memorabilia!
Nineteen Cape Cod non-profit organizations will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all 19 charities, in addition to the registration fee.
Ample hydration and nutrition stops will be strategically positioned along the course, along with medical and physical therapy stations equipped with tents and tables to ensure participants' comfort and well-being.

Hosted by: Second Summer Cycle, LLC, a 501c3, non-profit organization.
Beneficiaries: All money raised by the riders will be paid directly to the beneficiaries. Riders are expected to raise at least $250.00 each, and each beneficiary team is expected to raise $5,000.00.
Pricing:
- Century (100 miles): $125.00
- Metric Century Plus (69 miles): $95.00
- 33 Mile Ride: $80.00
Return to the starts: Bus transportation will be provided back to the starts along with trucks for your bikes. If you wish, you may have someone meet you at the finish line, where they may purchase a $30 packet of food truck vouchers to be used at Motta Field. Bus transportation back to the starts costs $20.00 per person, which includes both bus and bike transportation. The bikes will be in a separate vehicle.
Safety: We will have marshals at every turn to help guide riders, and motorcyclists will be patrolling the entire course.
Support services: Bike shops will be represented along the course to help with any technical issues. There will also be SAG vehicles to help riders who need support or a pickup along the course.

AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC) saves lives through prevention, education, and life-sustaining services that address public health crises to build healthy communities across the Cape and Islands.
History
ASGCC’s roots are in Provincetown, where in the early 1980’s community members joined together to respond to the emerging AIDS epidemic. For years this was a fight for the civil rights of people living with HIV, and equally so a fight for the lives of people living with HIV. Starting in the late 1990s, following the introduction of effective medication interventions which changed the lives of so many living with HIV, the agency’s services evolved (and expanded to include all of the Cape and Islands) to focus on helping clients live longer and healthier lives, ensuring they had access to healthcare, financial resources, and other vital support systems. Currently, ASGCC serves over 400 clients living with HIV, across all of the Cape and Islands with offices in Provincetown, Hyannis, Falmouth and Martha’s Vineyard.
There is another public health crisis where our staff’s expertise and skillset is needed: the opioid epidemic. On Cape Cod opioid deaths now represent the fastest growing cause of death in Massachusetts since the initial AIDS crisis of the 80s and 90s. Throughout the opioid epidemic, ASGCC has continued its key role fighting to save lives.
Some may ask, why is an AIDS organization fighting a drug epidemic? The answer lies in our belief in the principles of Harm Reduction, and the agency’s commitment to prevent the transmission of HIV and other STIs. Through community outreach, testing and prevention services, ASGCC connects with people who inject drugs to ensure they receive access to healthcare and the help available to avoid acquiring HIV (as well as HCV). ASGCC led the charge in making Narcan (the medication which reverses opioid overdoses) available Cape-wide, and today provides Narcan training and distribution throughout the Cape and Islands to prevent opioid overdose deaths.
ASGCC has trained thousands of community members in the use of Narcan and is responsible for saving over 2,000 lives via our Narcan program.
