We've all been impacted by cancer.
Family, friends, loved ones, and many of you have endured, conquered, or succumb to it. It is a tragic part of our lives in one way or another.
10 years ago my mother, Gale Lee Friedman (Chasha Leah bat Eliyahu) passed away from colon cancer. In her fight, she would visit my family in Massachusetts from TX. I took her to Cancer Connection multiple times. Who knew she would love and benefit from their counselors and integrative health services (e.g., reiki)? She truly appreciated a place to connect and feel others' empathy and support.
I am happy to run and walk for this amazing resource in Western Mass. All proceeds support Cancer Connection, which offers their services free of charge to make a difference in people's lives.

WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon
The WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon has been supporting Cancer Connection for 14 years! .
This race is one of extremely FEW that operate on donation. Race expenses are kept to a minimum, yet we try to make the runners' experience top-notch. This race has a vibe of gratitude, appreciation and so much love. Not only are runners happy to run, volunteers are happy to help and cancer-warriors are happy to benefit from the free services provided by Cancer Connection.
It is truly The BEST half in Western Mass! This race makes an impact!
