Alan's Pride
Thank you for visiting our Alan's Pride team page! We are a group of riding enthusiasts who ride to honor Alan Stewart. Alan passed away, but not before making a difference! Alan always helped others. He was part of the Deerfield Valley Lions. The Lions put on the amazing charity bike ride called the Hungry Lion Bike Tour. The primary purpose of this event is to fight hunger in southern Vermont. Every December the Lions team up with the local Rotary Club to hand deliver and fill the cupboards for hundreds of people in the Deerfield Valley of Southern Vermont with nutritious food staples. In recent years HLBT has also generated enough funds to write generous checks to the local food bank as well.
Please consider helping our team. Any amount of donation is appreciated! We will ride to remember Alan and donate the funds we raise in his name. Your contribution can make a difference! Thanks so much for your support. We appreciate it and so do a large number of folks in Vermont!

Deerfield Valley Lions Club
Each year, our local LIONS CLUB works hard to raise funds for our neighbors in need by sponsoring The Hungry Lion Bike Tour , one of Southern Vermont’s premier cycling events, typically attracting hundreds of riders, friends and family members to our region. We are able to run this professional-caliber event thanks to dedicated volunteers AND the enthusiastic contributions from participants and their sponsors! Our 2022 Event will be held in person with a Virtual Option for those not able to attend in person. We've also added an option for folks who would like to walk/hike!
