Mammoth Lakes Recreation was created to transform Mammoth Lakes into a world-class high altitude training center, a premier mountain arts and culture destination, and the best alpine recreation community in the country.

MLR understands recreation to be the gateway for understanding and caring for the precious landscape, public lands, and community values that underpin the economy of Mammoth Lakes, California. MLR's Adopt-A-Trail program has a $1500 donation level that we hope you'll consider helping us reach! We support the Uptown Bike Trail via the Adopt-A-Trail program through volunteer hours and have been able to adopt it financially since 2023 as well. This well-maintained singletrack trail, suitable for intermediate xc and gravel riders, climbs gently through a forest of red fir along the edge of Hwy 203 from the corner of Minaret and Forest Trail. It's one of our favorite trails on a gravel bike in Mammoth and we love being able to maintain it with your help.
