Help Horn of Africa
Catastrophic conditions created by a climate-induced drought, environmental degradation, a distant war and other factors are now threatening the lives of over 20 million children in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia, according to UNICEF — more than double the number of children reported just five months ago.
Levels of malnutrition are soaring among children, with 1.5 million children in drought-affected areas at risk of severe wasting, a life-threatening form of malnutrition.
UNICEF is seeking donor support to accelerate humanitarian action in the region, protect the most vulnerable and save children's lives.
I am running the Mancester Marathon November 12th in order to raise money to combat malnutrition in the Horn of Africa. My goal is to raise 500 USD which I will donate all to UNICEF: https://www.unicefusa.org/stories/dangers-deepening-children-caught-horn-africa-drought-crisis
Any donation would be appreciated. The cause is bigger than us. We have resources to provide for all children. Children are the future!
Manchester City Marathon
Sunday, November 12, 2023 marks the 17th annual running of the Manchester City Marathon. The marathon is a moderately challenging Boston Qualifier that takes runners on a scenic trip through the historic mill district of the Granite State’s largest city. Runners in the full and half marathon will enjoy a run that includes fabulous views of the Queen City, surrounding areas, and beautiful fall foliage. Mark your calendars and join us for the Manchester City Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k, and Relays on Sunday!
Veteran's Count
Veterans Count, the philanthropic arm of Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services (MVS), provides critical and timely financial assistance and services when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families, to ensure their dignity, health and overall well-being.
Veterans Count continues to ensure that 90% of every net dollar raised is spent to provide services and grow resources for NH veterans, service members and their families.
In 2007, Veterans Count was developed in partnership with Easterseals NH (ESNH), the NH National Guard, and the NH Dept. of Health and Human Services. The program provides services and resources to veterans of all eras and their families. MVS Care Coordinators work with individuals and families to create a care plan toward self-sufficiency.
