Hi friends,

It’s that time of the year again. The Vermont 100k/100m Endurance Run is happening on July 19-20th and I will be pushing my limits!

Signing up for the 100-mile distance, I will be traversing over 17,000 feet of vertical gain in under 30 hours along side many athletes with varying abilities and…horses who are running their own race. All, for a very important cause.

Vermont 100 is sponsored by Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that empowers people of all abilities through inclusive sports and recreational programming regardless of their ability to pay.

In addition to sports, year-round programming options integrate environmental, holistic wellness, and competitive training philosophies for people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical and emotional/behavioral disabilities. The organization believes sports and recreation provide a physical, mental and social experience that is immeasurable in promoting self-confidence and independence in an individual.

For me this is much more than just a race. While it is a privilege to be competing alongside world-class athletes, it is much more meaningful being associated with the Vermont Adaptive and “Team Run2Empower”, while raising money and promoting such a worthy cause. Those who know me know I have a deep passion and commitment to working with individuals who have varying abilities. My years with CT Special Olympics as a coach and unified partner, and now with the Vermont Adaptive have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding times of my life. Please consider donating to this personal, important, life-changing cause. Every donation makes a difference.

Thank you.
