Many of you have supported me in my past fundraising bike rides for cancer treatment and research and I'm very grateful -- and very much hope you'll be willing to help again with a donation to Bikes Fight Cancer.
I'm still riding, as always, in memory of my Dad, who we lost to colon cancer 30 years ago... it still feels like yesterday, but that particular disease is much easier to diagnose than it was when he got sick, and the treatments today are far more effective, and that's because of the many advances made by those who were willing to fund cancer research. I'd like to keep that progress going for the next family who faces a cancer diagnosis, in every small way that I can. And it's not just my father -- as time passes, I have more and more friends and family members who are fighting a cancer diagnosis of their own, so the list of folks I'm keeping in my heart as I turn those pedals keeps getting longer and longer.
So this weekend, on June 14th, the day before Father's Day, I will be joining some friends and family members as we bike through the Pioneer Valley to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer. 100% of all rider raised funds will support valuable cancer care services to patients, families, and caregivers, as well as funding hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.

Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride, Powered by Valley Solar is an exciting FUNdraising bike ride in Western Mass, where every pedal contributes to funding organizations providing cancer care and services. Choose your ride with 25-mile and 50-mile routes traversing the picturesque Pioneer Valley and along the Connecticut River. The 50-mile ride promises an extra thrill with rewarding views for riders. After the ride, enjoy post-event activities like a kids trail ride, awesome food trucks, and, of course, enjoy Tree House's exceptional beer. This is an unmissable event!

Bikes Fight Cancer Inc. is a Western Massachusetts 501(c)(3) that uses its love of bikes to lessen the burden of a cancer diagnosis for patients, families, and caregivers.
