I am riding the Second Summer Cycle to help raise money for Real Eyes Truth, Inc. I love its purpose, " A Holistic Mental Health Community Initiative: People helping people, re-creating community." I have benefitted from several offerings including yoga and sound therapy, women's support circles, Qi Gong, EFT Tapping, ethnic meal sharing, especially meeting such wonderfully open and gifted spirits who are seeking healing in a loving, supportive, non-judgemental community.
As an 81 year old rower since 1988 who is dealing with Parkinsonism, their sponsorship of Rowing to Recovery under their non-profit status, has allowed me to continue to enjoy and get the benefits of my love of rowing in a safe, supportive environment. With appropriate equipment and caring, committed, dedicated coaches, we are the only club on the Cape that has taken on the challenge of adaptive rowing, including a blind rower and those who are dealing with cancers, autoimmune diseases, traumas both physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual, etc. Everyone is welcome to row with us.
This is my 2nd Second Summer Cycle ride. Last year after 3 falls off my bicycle while training, I chose to do it on a stationary bike before breaking not just my spirit, but a bone. This year I will be riding on an E Trike which has not been as easy as I imagined. And with the support of Real Eyes Truth, Inc., and Rowing to Recovery, I will continue to "paddle and pedal" toward the setting sun.
Please give generously to help and give hope to those facing a myriad of challenges with our complex medical system. Real Eyes Truth truly is helping to re-create a healing community and is donation based. "No one is turned away."

What We Do:
Real Eyes Truth is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by local people to support the community needs on Cape Cod and the New Bedford area. Invested in a movement of collective healing, we aim to create a paradigm shift from a society of separateness to an integrated model of community. Our work focuses on healing from the effects of intergenerational and cultural trauma that has affected individuals and families. We foster safe spaces for people to restore their connection to themselves and the community through a holistic approach. Dismantling the current mental health idea that individuals are the problem who need treatment, we focus on creating group environments that support purposeful healing, community connection, and growth.
