Thank you for visiting my Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page! On December 8, I will walk in the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County, MA, and my employer for the past four years. All of the money
raised by the event supports Safe Passage's important work, including an
emergency shelter program, individual counseling and support groups,
legal services (that's me!), a 24-hour hotline and more.
For the past four years, I have run the Legal Program at Safe Passage, and my job is extremely rewarding! Funds raised by last year's Hot Chocolate Run enabled Safe Passage to expand the Legal Program by 50%. (To the left is a photo of Zoe at last year's event, when she was just learning to walk on her own.) Will you join me in supporting this terrific non-profit organization?

$75: Safe transportation for a family traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter
$100: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$140: Education for parents on talking with their kids about domestic violence
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
$1000: Legal representation in a divorce or custody case in the Probate & Family Court.

Safe Passage is the organization in Hampshire County building safety, hope and justice for families who have lived with domestic violence. Adults and kids come to Safe Passage for a variety of programs: an emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, legal advocacy, and so much more.
