Please help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $2,500!
I created the Run With The Wild 5K/10K while recovering from an injury I sustained as a wildland firefighter—an injury that ultimately ended my ability to return to the fireline. Although I could no longer continue fighting fires myself, I still wanted to find a way to make a meaningful impact and support the wildland firefighting community. Creating this event became a way for me to stay connected to that mission and continue giving back to the people who dedicate so much of themselves to protecting others.
Supporting wildland firefighters is a cause that is deeply important to me. Every day, these dedicated men and women endure extraordinary physical, mental, and emotional demands while putting their lives on the line to protect our communities. The risks they face are significant and often have lasting impacts that follow them and their families long after a fire is out.
This fundraiser supports the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to assisting wildland firefighters and their families in times of need. The foundation provides immediate financial assistance to firefighters who are injured in the line of duty and offers critical support to families who have lost a loved one while serving.
Donations help cover essential expenses such as emergency travel for family members, medical costs, and funeral and memorial services. The foundation also offers hardship assistance for firefighters facing unexpected financial difficulties and provides ongoing support programs for the families of fallen firefighters.
Through these efforts, the Wildland Firefighter Foundation helps ensure that the individuals who dedicate their lives to protecting others—and the families who stand beside them—receive meaningful support during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Your support helps make that possible, and every contribution goes toward standing behind these heroes when they need it most!
