I’m reaching out once again to ask for your prayers, your generosity, and your partnership in supporting families whose children are bravely fighting cancer. This cause has become deeply personal to me, and this year, I’ve committed to ride in the 2026 Tour Da Yoop, Eh in support of the U.P. Lions Childhood Cancer Program … a 1,200-mile bicycle journey completed over 10 days (July 24 – August 2).
I wasn’t able to participate in the 2025 event because I was in Texas for my niece’s wedding, and I was honestly blown away by how many people reached out to ask if I’d be riding in 2025. That kind of support reminded me that this cause hasn’t just touched my life … it’s touched the lives of my friends, my family, and my colleagues as well.
The reason I stay involved is simple: the need is real, it’s urgent, and its life-changing. Families facing childhood cancer carry an unimaginable emotional burden, and on top of that, a crushing financial one. Connie and I hearts are with these families. Their strength and courage push me to keep going, to keep us showing up, and to keep asking for your support.
The U.P. Lions Childhood Cancer Program plays a vital role in easing these burdens. They provide direct financial assistance for medical bills, household needs, and transportation to treatment centers. Many parents must take extended leave … or leave their jobs entirely … to care for their child. Treatments can be long and difficult, often leaving children with physical, emotional, and sensory challenges. Your support helps ensure these families are not facing these hardships alone.
This year, I’ve set a fundraising goal of $10,000 - $15,000, and I’m confident we can reach it together. Every donation … large or small … makes a meaningful difference.
