Please don't feel obligated to donate. More than anything, I’d like for you to hear Alex’s story. Understanding the challenges he faced is the first step toward the change we need.
During his journey with Schizophrenia, Alex was a regular patient at McLean Hospital. Despite having access to incredible doctors, his daily life was a difficult struggle with medication, mania, and falling into drug addiction. There were so many sleepless nights trying to convince him to go to the hospital or just trying to find where he was
Our current mental health system is incredibly difficult to navigate, and it often feels like it separates us from the people we love. I miss Alex every day and I grieve that he wasn't able to be with me during my big moments like my wedding or the birth of my kids.
With your awareness, I hope we can help make this a kinder, more effective place for those living with mental illness.
The Ride for Mental Health 2026
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
