Hi my name is Nicole Andruchow, I’m doing this race not only to support a very important cause but to also prove that my mental struggles do not define me as a person. As someone who has personally struggled with depression and anxiety for many years I understand the benefits that this funding can provide to other individuals also struggling. I also wanted to mention that like some others fighting for this cause, it is extremely difficult when we loose someone to mental health. As someone who has seen people around me lose their lives due to mental health, this is something I strongly want to fight for. Recently this summer my father passed away and him and I would often ride our bikes along the Hudson River valley trail in ny. My dad was a major inspiration to me and talked me through a lot of tough times when I first began to feel depressed. I am riding for him, myself, and for anyone else struggling with their mental health. I would greatly appreciate any support I can get to help fund this cause! Thank you!
The Ride for Mental Health 2026
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
