Welcome to my fundraising page! My sisters and I grew up in Amherst, MA, not far from Whately, and every Mother’s Day for the past several years, we have run/walked this half marathon to raise funds for Cancer Connection and to honor two of our cousins, who are breast cancer survivors.
I am happy to run (actually, I will be mostly walking) for a cause I believe in and to support an organization that helps local people dealing with cancer. All proceeds go to Cancer Connection, which offers services free of charge, including holistic therapies to strengthen body and spirit and assistance for those with cancer and their loved ones in navigating what can often be a daunting medical journey. Although I am not a cancer survivor myself, I have survived a life-threatening lung issue, so every mile has added meaning.

WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon
The WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon has been supporting Cancer Connection for 15 years - And every year our fundraising gets better and better! Help us continue this trend for 16th year in a row!
This race is one of extremely FEW that operate on donation. Race expenses are kept to a minimum, yet we try to make the runners' experience top-notch. This race has a vibe of gratitude, appreciation and so much love. Not only are runners happy to run, volunteers are happy to help and cancer-warriors are happy to benefit from the free services provided by Cancer Connection.
It is truly The BEST half in Western Mass! This race makes an impact!
Cancer Connection provides a haven where people with cancer and their loved ones can learn how to navigate the difficulties of cancer through FREE one-to-one guidance, education, peer support, integrative therapies and exercise and creative programs.
