On August 15th, I'm going to bike straight up Mount Washington – 7.6 miles of relentless climbing to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast.

Unfortunately, it's a sanctioned race so no EPO allowed.

But I'm doing this for a reason that matters to me. This race is the biggest annual fundraiser for Tin Mountain Conservation Center, and these folks are doing work I genuinely care about.

TMCC gets over 6,000 kids every year outside and learning about the natural world through hands-on programs across the Mt. Washington Valley and Western Maine. They run summer camps where kids actually get out there – canoeing, hiking, climbing, exploring the mountains and forests that make this region special. They're doing real conservation work too, from stream habitat restoration to bird surveys, and they host community programs that help people of all ages connect with the outdoors.

For over 40 years, they've been teaching people to appreciate and protect the environment. If you want to see what they do, check out their YouTube channel.

I'd be grateful if you'd consider supporting my ride and helping TMCC keep doing this work. Because getting people outside and caring about these wild places? That's how we make sure they're still here for the next generation.
