This year I’m once again riding in the Second Summer Cycle to raise money for Cotuit Center for the Arts. As I did last year, I’m riding in memory of Paul — my very favorite bike buddy. When he took up biking after retirement, I joined him reluctantly at first, but it quickly became something we shared deeply. Biking brought us new friendships, unforgettable trips, and so many miles pedaled side by side.
The Center, like biking, has been central to our lives on Cape Cod. Both have helped me immensely as I’ve navigated this past year without Paul, offering community, creativity, and connection when I’ve needed them most.
I hope you’ll consider a donation of any amount meaningful to you. Your support helps keep the arts accessible to all and sustains the Center’s programming, classes, and outreach.

Cotuit Center for the Arts - Second Summer Cycle
Overview
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 8 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong committment to rider safety. Four distances are being offered, 15, 30, 60, and 100 miles. The start and finish is at beautiful Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth where there will be a Finish Line Celebration from 12PM-4PM, including local beer, food trucks and live music.
Beneficiaries
18 Local non profits will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all participating charities, in addition to the registration fee.

With hundreds of hours of programming across our campus weekly, our bustling calendar reflects our commitment to being a welcoming space for all. Ticket sales only cover half of our operational needs; the rest is made possible by the generosity of donors, the passion of more than 1000 dedicated volunteers, and the vision of our staff and board. Together, we are building a community that celebrates creativity and connection.
