Thanks for stopping by and supporting my Tuckerman Inferno race effort!
Mount Washington has become my second home since moving back to the East Coast. The mountain offers all of us an incredible opportunity to push ourselves to new limits whilst connecting with nature. I am participating in this event to raise awareness about the importance of safe travel in the mountains we all have come to love here in New Hampshire. By supporting the Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation (MWAC), we increase the educational tools available to the public to ensure we all have the necessary information to enjoy our days in the mountains safely. Winter hasn't given up on us yet so let's keep the stoke going!
If you’re able, please consider making a donation to support my race. Every contribution—big or small—helps keep our mountains safer and our community stronger.
Cheers!
Alex
Tuckerman Inferno
Tuckerman Inferno - a Swiss-inspired adventure race in the White Mountains of NH
A world-class SKIMO race in the birthplace of Ski Mountaineering in the United States. The full race will include a skin to treeline, an alpine snow climb with a single pitch of fixed line, a ski descent with a section of giant slalom gates, a second alpine snow climb, and a final ski descent all the way to Pinkham Notch. Weather permiting we hope to reach the summit of Mt. Washington. Competitors can race as a solo or as a two person relay team. New this year we are bringing back the original Inferno race with a downnhill race from top to bottom - the Classic Inferno. We are also introducing ta vertical challenge for those that want to race to the top and descend at their own pace and route.

Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation is the combination of two historic and critical support groups. Friends of Tuckerman Ravine and the White Mountain Avalanche Education Foundation have joined forces as the Mount Washington Avalanche Center Foundation.
For over two decades, Friends of Tuckerman Ravine has supported the Mount Washington Avalanche Center (MWAC) through funding, volunteer hours, outreach and conservation efforts, and community events. For the last 10 years, the White Mountain Avalanche Education Foundation has supported MWAC through educational programs, events, and funding. Both groups have been absolutely critical to the success of the Mount Washington Avalanche Center and this merger enhances the ability for the non-profit pillar of MWAC to provide financial support to the avalanche forecasting and search and rescue programs while also offering historic events, outreach and educational opportunities to the greater backcountry community.
