Riding for Connection, Healing, and Balance
This year, my eight-year-old son and I are riding our first bicycle marathon together at the Tour de Palm Springs in the Coachella Valley.
This ride is especially close to my heart—I am originally from Palm Springs, and riding through these streets feels like coming home.
We’re riding with purpose. I’m fundraising $5,000 to support Rancho Tres Agavez de Cielo Azul (R3A), a nonprofit based right here in the Coachella Valley.
R3A nurtures meaningful connections between humans and horses through equine bonding and horsemanship basics. It offers a therapeutic, grounded space for children, adults, and families to experience:
Grounding and emotional regulation
Trust, presence, and relational growth
Balance—within themselves and with others
Horses have a unique ability to meet people exactly where they are. Through intentional interaction and care, R3A creates an environment where healing unfolds naturally—without pressure, labels, or expectations.
By riding alongside my son, I’m honoring the importance of family, intergenerational connection, and embodied experiences—the same values R3A brings to our community every day.
