This will be the second year I walk/run a 5k with my friends to honor firefighters and their families. I cannot thank firefighters enough, they have impacted nearly every aspect of my life in the most positive of ways. My Aunt Roshie, being an amazing role model and overall badass, Mr. Stone giving me my first car and the love for VW Bugs, my great friends at the Parkdale Fire Department (who I am running with), and of course, my loving, thoughtful, and kind husband. This is the time of year where we can say "thank you" to all the other firefighters we may never get to meet, but the ones that keep us safe everyday. This is the time to give back to all of those who put their lives on the line to protect our homes, property and our own lives. Sadly, wildfires impact our landscapes every year, this charity serves those who run toward the flames and climb the intense landscapes.

The Run With The Wild 5K/10K hosted annually in Hood River, OR is all about supporting our wildland firefighters! Prior to the event, we have the chance to raise as much money as we can. 100% of your donation goes to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation to help our wounded firefighters & support families of the fallen. The team, and individual, who raise the most money on their fundraiser page get awarded a plaque on event day (April 11th, 2026)! You can participate virtually! Join the fundraiser challenge from anywhere. If you and/or your team raise the most funds by event day, your award will be mailed to you free of charge.
This is such an important cause - please help us raise money for the hardworking heroes that keep our communities safe!
Run With The Wild
Join us for the 4th Annual Run With The Wild 5K/10K, a community-oriented 5k and 10k run/walk that is suitable for individuals of all ages, families, and even our furry friends! This event will be held in the beautifully scenic Columbia River Gorge, commencing at the Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead. This paved route is ADA accessible, allowing for wheelchairs and strollers, and offers breathtaking views of the river and mountains along the way. 100% of proceeds for this event are donated directly to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
