On June 20, I’ll be pedaling through the Pioneer Valley as part of the Bikes Fight Cancer community—riding to support patients, families, and caregivers impacted by cancer. Every dollar I raise helps fund essential cancer care services and supports hospitals advancing life-saving cancer research.
Another year, another ride to fight cancer! This will be my third year taking part in this incredible event with some of the best people I've met whilst riding. Along with, Shrimpy, my riding companion, I will be participating the 25 mile route once again.
I ride as a cancer pre-vivor. After a suspicious biopsy in 2019, I took it upon myself to get a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy to rid myself of the high risk of breast cancer, as I carry the BRCA 1 gene mutation
I ride for those close to me who had cancer: my mom, my dad, my gram, my second dad, all my friends and their relatives of those close to me who were affected, survived, and those who fought a valiant fight and sadly are no longer with us.
I ride to contribute to the financial burdens placed upon families.
I ride to keep the fight alive in those affected.
I ride with those survivors and those who have family battling cancer.
I ride for the fight for a cure.
Last year we raised $235,000! A record year. Let's make it another event to remember! Whether you love bikes and hate cancer, or really flat out hate cancer, this is one event you'll want to donate to. Let's raise money to fight cancer, because we all know the government isn't funding the research or helping the families going through it.
Please consider donating. It means the world to the communities whom we donate.
LOVE BIKES. HATE CANCER.
