This September I’ll be riding in the 2nd Summer Cycle on the Cape. Riders may choose from several worthy organizations to support, and I’ve chosen to dedicate my ride to Cotuit Center for the Arts.
Why? Because I believe what they believe: the arts are essential.
Research confirms what we know intuitively - color and sound, stories and learning have a profound effect on the human brain and heart. Cotuit Center brings the highest quality of these experiences to the Cape through its award-winning gallery, eclectic concerts, sold-out theater productions, and robust classes for all ages.
But essential institutions don’t sustain themselves. That’s why I’m riding.
I’ll be training all summer and riding in mid-September to support this work. If the arts have ever inspired, challenged, or brought you joy, I hope you’ll consider making a gift. Contributions of any size truly make a difference.

Cotuit Center for the Arts - Second Summer Cycle
Overview
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 8 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong committment to rider safety. Four distances are being offered, 15, 30, 60, and 100 miles. The start and finish is at beautiful Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth where there will be a Finish Line Celebration from 12PM-4PM, including local beer, food trucks and live music.
Beneficiaries
18 Local non profits will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all participating charities, in addition to the registration fee.

Ticket sales only cover half of our operational needs; the rest is made possible by the generosity of donors, the passion of more than 1000 dedicated volunteers, and the vision of our staff and board.
