Expeditionary Veterans Association - MTB for PTSD is a 501(c) non-profit that utilizes the sport of mountain biking as a form of recreational therapy for veterans suffering from PTSD and other service related disabilities. This year, our St. Louis chapter is proud to participate in the Last Miner Riding where we will help raise funds the CHD Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports families dealing with congenital heart defect. This is a great event with a great purpose, and any donations on our behalf will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Last Miner Riding
The Last Miner Riding is a bit of a different format of mountain biking format. At 9:00am (the top of the hour) everyone starts the 8 mile course (5 mile for Juniors at 9:10). Everyone is allotted 1:15 minutes to complete the first mountain bike loop. Thus, for example if you finish in 45 minutes you rest and recover until the the top of the next hour at 10:00 am and you start the 8 mile loop again. You must be at the start line at the start time for the next lap or you are out of the competition. This continues until the Last Miner Riding remains. It isn't about how fast you can ride each lap, it's about how many laps you want to ride. Just a fun day in the woods with a bunch of friends! We will have a top male and top female prize for the Open catagories and the Juniors, but that's about it.
At CHD Warrior Foundation, our goal is to help families going through some of the hardest times of their lives. Families dealing with Congenital Heart Defect are near and dear to not only our founders, but also our current membership and President.
