Welcome to Strands of Strength!
Hi friends! I’m Mia Lamontagne from Salon Tres Chic in Agawam, and I’m beyond excited to be part of the Western Mass Mother’s Day Half Marathon, fundraising for Cancer Connection.
Running has always been my way of challenging myself and finding strength, both physically and mentally. But this journey has become even more meaningful because cancer has touched my life in profound ways — not just with my mom, but also within the families of the amazing women I work with at the salon. Every client, every coworker, and every friend who has faced this battle reminds me why community and support matter so deeply.
This year, I’m running to honor those we love, to celebrate survivors, and to raise funds so Cancer Connection can continue providing free, life-changing support to anyone affected by cancer in Western Mass. Your donation, no matter the size, helps provide hope, guidance, and comfort to families when they need it most.
Thank you for joining me in this journey. Together, we’re stronger — one stride, one strand, one heart at a time.
Let’s make every mile count!
WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon
The WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon has been supporting Cancer Connection for 15 years - And every year our fundraising gets better and better! Help us continue this trend for 16th year in a row!
This race is one of extremely FEW that operate on donation. Race expenses are kept to a minimum, yet we try to make the runners' experience top-notch. This race has a vibe of gratitude, appreciation and so much love.
