On May 10th, I’ll be lining up at the start line of the Western Massachusetts Mother’s Day Half Marathon running every one of those 13.1 miles in honor of my best friend, Lisa.
As many of you know, we lost Lisa to cancer, and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't miss all of her and her presence in my life. I feel so incredibly grateful that I got to be her best friend!
I’m not just running for memory; I’m running for a cause. I am raising funds for Cancer Connection to ensure that other families have the support and resources they need when facing a diagnosis.

The WMass Mother's Day Half Marathon has been supporting Cancer Connection for 15 years - And every year our fundraising gets better and better! Help us continue this trend for 16th year in a row!
This race is one of extremely FEW that operate on donation. Race expenses are kept to a minimum, yet we try to make the runners' experience top-notch. This race has a vibe of gratitude, appreciation and so much love. Not only are runners happy to run, volunteers are happy to help and cancer-warriors are happy to benefit from the free services provided by Cancer Connection.
It is truly The BEST half in Western Mass! This race makes an impact!
