Welcome to my fundraising page!
My Name is Cooper Whitney and I am a senior at Four Rivers Charter School in Greenfield. Every year, the seniors at my school complete a Senior Expedition project which is an individual passion project. You formulate an essential question and build a project around it. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful and impactful and fundraising through the Cancer Connection Mother’s Day Half Marathon is the perfect way to do so.
I am excited to be running for my dad, John Whitney. In June of 2025 my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma and our family's world was flipped upside down. Since then it has been a long and tiring battle with chemo, radiation, frequent trips to Boston and some complications. The Cancer Connection has been an incredible resource for my family and for hundreds of others locally who are dealing with cancer. They provide services free of charge for cancer patients and their families, such as support groups, massages, integrative therapies, and overall support during difficult times. It has been a great resource for my family, my dad especially, and I’m very excited to raise money for their cause.
Please help me reach my goal of raising $1,000 for the Cancer Connection. No donation is too small! Thank you for supporting me!
