On June 20, just a few short weeks away, I’ll be pedaling 50 miles through the beautiful Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts as part of the Bikes Fight Cancer community ride.

I am riding in honor of family members and friends who are currently battling cancer, as well as those who have courageously fought this disease in the past. Like so many of us, I have seen firsthand the impact cancer has on the lives of those we love.

Bikes Fight Cancer Inc. is a Western Massachusetts–based 501(c)(3) that uses its love of bikes to lessen the burden of a cancer diagnosis for patients, families, and caregivers. Through athletic events like the Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride, presented by PDC Incorporated, we empower a community to participate, donate, and fundraise in the fight against cancer. These efforts provide funding to organizations that deliver vital cancer care services and to hospitals advancing cancer research.
