Join Me in the Fight Against Type 1 Diabetes
I'm riding 150 miles across Michigan in a single day as part of the 2026 ODRAM (One Day Ride Across Michigan) — and I'm doing it to fund a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Why This Matters
Type 1 diabetes strikes suddenly, without warning. It doesn't care about age, diet, or lifestyle. In an instant, the body's immune system attacks the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leaving people dependent on insulin injections for life. Every day, people with T1D must count carbohydrates, test their blood glucose, and manage a condition that never takes a break.
But there's hope.
Breakthrough T1D — formerly known as JDRF — is the leading global organization funding T1D research. They’re bringing us closer to life-changing therapies and, ultimately, a cure. Your support directly accelerates this mission.
How You Can Help
Every dollar you donate goes toward funding the research that could transform — or even end — the T1D experience. I’m aiming to raise $1,500 ($10 per mile) to power this critical work. By supporting my ride, you’re investing in a future where people with T1D can simply live.
I’ve been training hard for this 150-mile self-supported challenge. With your help, I can cross the finish line knowing that together, we’re making a real difference.
Will you join me? Donate today and help us build a world without T1D.

Welcome to my ODRAM - Breakthrough T1D fundraising page!
Did you know T1D:
- Strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle.
- Occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Insulin is essential to turning food into energy.
- Requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is working every day to change this. And every dollar I raise helps them continue to bring life-changing therapies from the lab to the community until a cure is found.
I have been hard at work training and fundraising, and your gift today will propel me toward the finish line. Please donate and help Breakthrough T1D achieve its goal of a world without T1D.
