After the Ground Hog Incident of 2013 and subsequent surgery during training I made it up Mount Washington 8 minutes faster than my 2011 attempt. This year I will be shooting for the hour mark which means another 11 minutes off last years time. With good weather and good legs I think I can really make a good go at it.
The Mount Washington Auto Road is considered one of the hardest and steepest climbs in the country. At 7.6 miles and 11.8% average gradient (22% kicker to the finish line) and the potential for strong winds and freezing temperatures this is a true climbers test!
Not only is it an amazing bike race event, it is the largest fundraiser for the Tin Mountain Conservation Center.

You can help me support a great environmental organization, Tin Mountain Conservation Center, which has provided environmental education to over 75,000 students, campers and individuals throughout schools and communities in Northern New Hampshire and western Maine for over 33 years.
Thanks for any donations and your support for this event!
If you can ever make it to the White Mountains of New Hampshire it is well worth the trip.
Tin Mountain Conservation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing education programs that foster greater awareness and understanding of the natural environment for school children, adults, and families.
