This Memorial Day weekend, help me honor those who gave everything to protect us at home and abroad. The tragedy at the twin towers in NYC on September 11, 2001 opened my eyes to our interconnected international systems of commerce and communication. The people who put their lives and careers on the line to keep us safe deserve our respect and support.
Memorial Day is about those who sacrificed everything, and this run is one way of contributing to the wellbeing of the families that they left behind. It's also a time of remembering and reflection for everyone who has lost a loved one, for any reason.

With spring flowers in full bloom, let's make space for the transitions in life, remembering our impermanence.

- Remembering and honoring those who gave everything — police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military heroes from Massachusetts
- Supporting the families they left behind (Gold Star families)
- Helping veterans build bright futures through entrepreneurship, mentorship, and opportunity Massachusetts Fallen Heroes (and their flagship program InnoVets) turns remembrance into real, lasting impact:
- Maintaining the beautiful Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial in the Seaport
- Providing year-round support, events, and scholarships for Veterans & Gold Star families
- Running Boston’s home-grown veteran business accelerator — InnoVets — with programs like STRAC, CodeX, and Veterans Edge at the Emond Center for Engagement in the Seaport that help veterans launch businesses and thrive.
Every mile I run on Memorial Day weekend is dedicated to those we’ve lost and to the families and veterans who continue to carry their legacy forward. Your support means the world.
