On June 20, my friend Jill and I will be pedaling through Western Mass as part of the Bikes Fight
Cancer community, riding to support patients, families, and caregivers impacted by cancer. Every
dollar we raise helps fund essential cancer care services and supports hospitals advancing life-
saving cancer research.
We both have lost friends to cancer; in particular, I lost my dear close friend in May. I feel Blessed to
have recuperated enough from neck surgery in January to participate in my first bike ride, this
particular one holds close to my heart. I am new to cycling, mostly just this year and have done
some training specifically for this fund raiser to honor and remember Betty Lynne and those who I
know who recently have been diagnosed and or are going through treatment.
Jill and I both know many who are survivors and have several good friends who are now in
treatment. The recent breakthroughs have been astounding but need to continue to find cures and to
make treatments less severe and uncomfortable. Please donate to this cause with a dollar amount
that works in your budget. Any and every amount will help.

The Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride presented by PDC Incorporated, is an exciting FUNdraising bike ride in Western Mass, where every pedal contributes to funding organizations providing cancer care and services. Choose your ride with 25-mile and 50-mile routes traversing the picturesque Pioneer Valley and along the Connecticut River. The 50-mile ride promises an extra thrill with rewarding views for riders. After the ride, enjoy post-event activities like awesome post ride meal and, of course, enjoy Tree House's exceptional beer. This is an unmissable event!
