It is that time of year when I reflect back on my cancer journey. I am thankful to support the B Strong Ride on August 8th and to support those who are currently going through the cancer battle. This will be the last year for the B Strong Ride and we want to go out strong! I appreciate all of the support you have given me throughout the years!

I know you have heard my story as a cancer survivor but I cannot forget to give others hope through my experience so I support the B Strong Ride to provide hope to those fighting the fight today.

When I was 18 years old and a freshman in college, I noticed a lump under my left arm. With urging from my family I got it checked. Little did I know that my life was about to change forever. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. As of March 2026, it has been 51 years since that diagnosis.

I am celebrating my life and being cancer free by fundraising for the B Strong Ride on August 9th.

All the funds raised from this event will support cancer patients in OUR community. The proceeds will go to the Integrative Care Unit at Boulder Community Hospital. Please help me reach my goal as we ride to beat cancer.

Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care (CIC) provides a wide range of services integrated with conventional cancer care that are clinically demonstrated to improve patients’ outcomes by enhancing wound healing, shortening hospital stays, and reducing pain medication needs, as well as lowering patient stress and anxiety.

CIC provides evidence-based care by certified and licensed practitioners for current cancer patients and cancer survivors, as well as their family members and caregivers, including:

• Manual Lymph Drainage
• Massage Therapy and Reflexology
• Reiki and Healing Touch Massage
• Wellness & Integrative Care Consultation
