OVCX Race 2 - CarterCX
CarterCX is a high-energy, family-friendly cyclocross race that introduces many new riders to the sport each season. Held in the scenic and historic Kings Mills area, once home to the Carter Cartridge Factory company town, this race offers a dynamic mix of terrain and a course that keeps both participants and spectators engaged from start to finish.
Riders will take on a variety of surfaces including pavement, grass, mulch, and gravel, with fast double-track trails, a punchy climb, and flowing transitions that reward both skill and grit. A highlight of the course is the legendary “heckle zone.” A rowdy stretch where racers thread through a corridor of team tents as fans cheer, ring cowbells, and bring the signature cyclocross energy to life.
Whether it’s your first race or your fiftieth, CarterCX delivers the challenge, community, and fun that define the cyclocross experience, and keeps riders coming back year after year.
Lionhearts Junior Development
I’m proud to support the Lionhearts Junior Development Team, a youth cycling program I’ve been involved with as a coach and advisory board member for over 15 years. Lionhearts is a nonprofit organization that uses cycling as a platform to teach leadership, discipline, confidence, and community to young athletes across the Greater Cincinnati area.
Your support helps make this program accessible to kids, regardless of financial background, by covering race entry fees, equipment, travel, coaching, and team development efforts. Every donation directly supports the next generation of junior cyclists and helps grow the sport in meaningful and lasting ways.
