Hi! My name is Edie, and I’m a rising senior at Nauset Regional High School. This summer, I’m participating in the Second Summer Cycle, where I’ll be biking 34 miles to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention and mental health support.
At Nauset, I’m part of Hope Squad, a suicide prevention program focused on creating a school community where students feel supported, noticed, and comfortable reaching out for help. Along with personal experience, I feel it is also extremely important to fund mental health services and support suicide prevention methods, along with all mental health issues.
For this ride, I’m proud to represent both the Nauset Regional High School Hope Squad and Sharing Kindness. Sharing Kindness is an organization that works to provide suicide prevention, mental health education, and grief support throughout Cape Cod and the Islands.
My goal is to raise $2,000 before I take on the 30-mile ride. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps support suicide prevention efforts and resources in our community. Just as importantly, every person who shares this page helps bring more attention to a conversation that matters.
I’m riding for my school, my community, and everyone who deserves to know that people are willing to listen and support them.

Sharing Kindness - Second Summer Cycle
Overview
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 8 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong committment to rider safety. Four distances are being offered, 15, 30, 60, and 100 miles. The start and finish is at beautiful Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth where there will be a Finish Line Celebration from 12PM-4PM, including local beer, food trucks and live music.
Beneficiaries
18 Local non profits will benefit from the monies generated by the riders, each of whom is asked to raise at least $250 for their non-profit of choice, or to be disseminated across all participating charities, in addition to the registration fee.

Sharing Kindness is building a grief-sensitive, suicide-aware Cape & Islands community. We provide free clinician-led peer grief support for all and evidence-based suicide prevention to thousands of students each year. We work to reduce stigma, improve grief literacy and encourage wellness and resilience through courageous conversation throughout our shared community.
