TalkJoy
TalkJoy was created around a simple idea: mental health support should feel human, approachable, and available when you need it, not something that is hard to access or intimidating to start. Life does not wait for the perfect appointment, and too often people are left feeling stuck when they just need someone to talk to.
This ride is our way of supporting the broader mission of mental health awareness, advocacy, and access. By riding together and fundraising through TalkJoy, we are helping shine a light on the importance of mental health and supporting organizations that work every day to make care more accessible, more visible, and more accepted.
For us, every mile represents a conversation, a moment of support, and a reminder that no one should feel alone when they are struggling. Whether you are riding, donating, or cheering us on, thank you for being part of this effort and helping move mental health forward, one mile at a time.
The Ride for Mental Health 2026
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
